Below you will find information about the Single-Use Plastics Fund Act.
List of single-use plastic products pursuant to Annex 1 of the EWKFondsG:
1. Food containers, i.e. containers such as boxes, with or without lids, for food that
a) are intended to be consumed immediately, either on the premises or as takeaway,
b) are typically consumed directly from the container, and
c) can be consumed without further preparation such as cooking, boiling, or heating;
food containers within this meaning do not include beverage containers, beverage cups, plates, or bags and film packaging such as wrappers containing food;
2. Bags and film packaging made of flexible material, such as wrappers, containing food that
a) is intended to be consumed immediately from the bag or film packaging, and
b) does not require any further preparation;
3. Beverage containers with a capacity of up to 3 liters, i.e. containers used to hold liquids, such as deposit and non-deposit beverage bottles and composite beverage packaging, including their caps and lids; beverage containers within this meaning do not include glass or metal beverage containers with caps, lids, labels, stickers, or plastic coverings;
4. Beverage cups, including their caps and lids;
5. Lightweight plastic carrier bags, i.e. plastic carrier bags with a wall thickness of less than 50 micrometers, with or without handles, offered to consumers at the point of sale of goods or products;
6. Wet wipes, i.e. pre-moistened wipes for personal and household care;
7. Balloons; excluded are balloons for industrial or commercial uses and applications that are not supplied to consumers;
8. Tobacco products* with filters, as well as filters intended for use in combination with tobacco products.
*Tobacco products are tobacco products within the meaning of Article 2 of Directive 2014/40/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3 April 2014 on the approximation of the laws, regulations, and administrative provisions of the Member States concerning the manufacture, presentation, and sale of tobacco products and related products, and repealing Directive 2001/37/EC (OJ L 127, 29 April 2014, p. 1).
